Fleet Branding: Make Every Lorry Look Like One Brand

How to brand a fleet consistently from vans to 5-tonne lorries: one master design, clear unit numbers and a quote based on unit count.

Fleet Branding: Make Every Lorry Look Like One Brand

When your company runs three, five or twenty lorries, each one is a moving billboard. The trouble is that when every lorry gets done at a different time, by a different person, the result is usually a mix: logos in different sizes, colours in different shades, phone numbers in different spots. This article explains how to build fleet branding that looks like one brand, from the first lorry to the last.

Why a fleet should look uniform

People on the road only see your lorry for a few seconds. If every lorry looks different, they never realise all of them come from the same company. When every unit uses the same layout, colours and logo, each lorry reinforces the others. Someone who saw one of your lorries this morning will recognise the second one this afternoon.

The effect on customers and staff

A uniform fleet looks organised and professional. Customers feel more confident when the lorry that pulls up at their premises is neat and clearly branded. Drivers also take more pride in a lorry that looks fresh and orderly, and they are easier to identify when they arrive at a warehouse or a customer's site.

Common problems with a mixed fleet

  • Old logo on older lorries, new logo on newer ones.
  • Brand colours that don't match because they were printed at different places.
  • Phone numbers or websites that are no longer in use.
  • Lettering in different sizes, so some lorries are hard to read from a distance.

One master design for every vehicle size

A fleet is rarely one type of vehicle. Usually there are vans, pickups, 1-tonne, 3-tonne or 5-tonne lorries, maybe a reefer truck or a trailer too. The secret is one master design: a fixed set of elements that is then adapted to each body size.

Elements that stay the same

First decide what must never change: the logo, the main colours, the typeface and where the company name sits. For example, the logo always sits at the front of the side panel, the colour band always runs along the bottom and the contact details always go on the back. With these fixed, the lorry sizes can differ while the look stays the same.

Elements adapted to each vehicle

On a van, the side panel is smaller and there is a sliding door, so the layout has to avoid the door seams. On a 3-tonne or 5-tonne box lorry, the side is large and flat, ideal for a big logo and imagery. On a trailer, the design can be bolder because it is seen from far away. Our design team adapts the master design to each type so everything still looks like one family. For layout tips, see lorry sticker designs that read from a distance.

Unit numbers and the small details that matter

Many fleet owners forget one small but very useful detail: unit numbers. A number like "UNIT 07" on the front doors and the rear makes it easy for supervisors, drivers and customers to refer to a specific lorry. It also helps when there is a complaint or a compliment, because people can quote the lorry number exactly.

Where to put unit numbers

  • Front doors on both sides, large enough to read from the roadside.
  • The rear, near the doors or the bumper.
  • The roof, if your company watches the fleet from above (optional).

Other details that should match

Besides unit numbers, make sure contact details, website and main services are written with the same wording on every lorry. Don't let one lorry say "Delivery" and another say "Logistics" if they mean the same thing. Consistent wording matters as much as consistent colour.

Quotes based on unit count

For fleets, we quote based on the number of units and the design. As a guide, the Standard package starts from RM2,200 per lorry and the Size XL package starts from RM3,500 per lorry. Both include professional design, high-quality printing, weatherproof anti-UV vinyl and installation at your location. The final price depends on sticker size and design, and is confirmed on WhatsApp after we see a photo of the vehicle.

A fleet with several vehicle sizes may use a mix of packages, for example vans on Standard and large lorries on Size XL. Compare them in our lorry sticker packages and in the article Standard or Size XL.

Installing in stages

Not every company can take all its lorries off the road on the same day. Installation can be done in stages, a few units at a time, around your operating schedule. Dates and slots are arranged on WhatsApp. The estimated turnaround is 3 to 7 working days depending on size and scope, but that is an estimate, not a promise.

How to get started

  1. Send a photo of each vehicle type in your fleet and your company logo on WhatsApp.
  2. We check the master design and quote by unit count.
  3. We print the stickers for every unit.
  4. We come to install at your location, and the lorries drive off.

On-site installation is available in every state, whether your depot is in Shah Alam, Johor Bahru or Kuantan. If you already have your own design file, send it along and we will use it as the starting point.

A uniform fleet is not just about looking good. It is the simplest way to make every trip work for your brand. Start with photos of your fleet today.
